In the heat of summer Sonya and her uncle Vanya while away their days on a crumbling estate deep in the countryside.

When Sonya’s father suddenly returns with his restless, alluring, new wife declaring his intention to sell the house, the polite facades crumble and long repressed feelings erupt with devastating consequences.

Olivier Award-winner Conor McPherson’s (The Girl from the North Country), stunning new adaptation of Chekhov's masterpiece is full of dark humour and hidden passions.

BAFTA and Olivier Award-winner Toby Jones (The Birthday Party) stars in the title role of Uncle Vanya alongside Richard Armitage and Ciaran Hinds.

Critically acclaimed director Ian Rickson returns to Chekhov for the first time since his landmark production of The Seagull in 2007, reuniting with Toby Jones (The Birthday Party).

Stalls seats plus supper pre- or post-theatre in The Drawing Room, £75.
