  • THE SONWEDNESDAY, 16 SEPTEMBER

Starts 7.30pm – Running Time TBC

Direct from a sold-out season on the London Fringe at the Kiln Theatre (formerly the Tricycle Theatre, Kilburn), The Son, transfers to the Duke of York's Theatre for ten weeks only, following a first outing in Paris last year.

“I’m telling you. I don’t understand what’s happening to me”.

Nicolas is going through a difficult phase after his parents’ divorce. He’s listless, skipping school, lying, and thinks that moving in with his father and his new family may help. It will be a fresh start. But when he doesn’t settle there either, he decides that going back to his mother’s may be the answer.

When change feels like the only way to survive, what do you do when the options run out?

Written by the internationally acclaimed French playwright and author Florian Zeller (lauded by The Guardian as ‘the most exciting playwright of our time’), The Son is the third in Zeller’s trilogy viewing the same family from different perspectives.

Directed by the hugely talented Michael Longhurst (Caroline or Change), who has just taken over from Josie Rourke at the Donmar Warehouse, The Son follows in the footsteps of the critically acclaimed The Father andThe Mother.

Stalls seats plus supper pre- or post-theatre in The Drawing Room, £65.
